Hi, I’m Kim Nicholls, Marketing Manager at Abundance Global and international branding, sponsorship and event management specialist. My story so far has been one of adventure, challenges and immense personal growth — that’s what happens when you work in the world’s biggest branding market!
After starting my own business in Queensland, I then moved to Los Angeles to help build the Lorna Jane activewear brand in the USA.
I’ve learnt many lessons along the way, including what I believe is the most important branding lesson: It doesn’t matter how great your product or service is, if you don’t market it correctly, your growth and impact will be limited.
I’ve always been able to help businesses connect directly with their target market, whether it’s through spectacular events, impactful branding or strategic partnerships.
In my role at Lorna Jane, I was given the challenge to make Lorna Jane activewear the ‘hot’ new item in Las Vegas and Palm Springs. That was before a store had even opened.
Using a variety of active-marketing and community-marketing efforts, we were able to conquer each local market. Some of my marketing territory included Manhattan Beach, Marina Del Ray, Santa Monica, Malibu and Hollywood.
When I work with a business, I put a lot of effort into creating a style guide that communicates the passion and aspirations of the business’s founder. This helps to create uniformity with all imaging and messages, and ultimately, it helps to build a strong, successful brand.
Along with my Marketing Manager role, I’ve created my own startup business, ‘Trimprep’. I also actively run two Facebook groups, ‘Event Professionals in Brisbane’ and ‘Amazon Sellers Brisbane’.
Whether you’re a small company that wants to look big or a big company that needs to rediscover its core branding message, I can help.
